“Devil with a sword”
Prince Eaymon has fallen! As Red Sonja races around the city of Khorshemish, revolutionaries known as the Rising Sun continue to slaughter the kingdom’s ruling class. Sonja must find a way to purify Elarr Vorn’s daughter, because the girl’s blood is the key that can summon the Demoroq.
Aretha Vorn has no choice in the matter. The ancient beast must not be made to serve Ivorn or his insane horde of murderers. Either the girl submits to the ritual of blood rites or dies in the form of Red Sonja. Hyboria is once again on the brink of chaos. The Pirosin Tower awaits you!
Does the rising sun have enough zealots to overthrow the kingdom of Koth? Will Red Sonja seek revenge for Prince Eaymon’s murder? How powerful is the Demoroq? Collect the series to find out!
review
Red Sonja is definitely a member of the SOGO club – save a kingdom and have one saved for free. Did she start a punch card? If Sonja really is so well-known throughout Hyboria, how long can she remain inconspicuous? She’d better act quickly.
Issue two is a mix of action and humor, but mostly action. The art of Pablo De Bonis is unique. I can’t say the same about the plot or character development. There is no element that stands out to me yet. Maybe next time. This is a solid three-star issue that should please any Red Sonja fan.
