Ranma 1/2 A new key image for Season 3 was unveiled, while also confirming that the new season will premiere on October 3. The announcement was made during the series’ official “Dota-Bata Martial Arts Fan Meeting” event held on July 25. Studio MAPPA returned to handle animation, with Konosuke Uda returning to direct alongside most of the core staff.
Season 3 will begin airing every Saturday at 24:55 JST (Sunday at 12:55 AM) on Nippon TV starting October 3, with additional broadcasts to follow across the Nippon TV network. The anime will also stream exclusively on Netflix immediately after its TV broadcast.
The event also introduced several new cast members joining the series for season three:
- Masako Nozawa Like Emoto (Sentaro’s grandmother)
- John Fukuyama Like Sentaro Daimonji
- Mayumi Tanaka like ???
- Saori Hayami like ???

MAPPA announced its 15th annual project earlier this month, with a plan to share new information about its upcoming projects. Founded in 2011, the studio has been responsible for the animation of many successful titles including Chainsaw man, Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on titan final season, Hell’s paradise, Yuri on iceand Vinland Saga.

Kaoru Wada returns to compose the music, while Chihiro Okawa leads the art direction.

Rumiko Takahashi started Ranma 1/2 The manga as its third main series (Next Urusei Yatsuura and Maison Ecoco) in August 1987. The manga was serialized in Shogakukan magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday Magazine until March 1996. VIZ Media licensed it in English. Ha Mao The series also has ongoing anime adaptations.
