Melody in the heart of midnight The second season of the anime has revealed a new teaser image with two additional cast members and a premiere date in 2027. Joining the cast are Ami Koshimizu as Rina Yamabuki and Kaede Hondo as Mito Yamabuki.
Studio Gekko returns to animate the sequel with Masayuki Takahashi as director once again. Other returning staff include Yuki Sugawara as scenario writer, Tomoyuki Shitaya as character designer, and Kuniyuki Takahashi as music composer. The main cast will also reprise their roles:
- Momoko Seto Like Rika Inohana
- Rumi Okubo Like Nene Himekawa
- Sayomi Suzushiro Like Kirino Echo
- This is Miko Like Shinobu Uzuki
- Rikuya Yasuda Like Arisu Yamabuki
Melody in the heart of midnight The anime is based on a manga series written by Masakuni Igarashi. It is available in English simultaneously through Kodansha’s K Manga digital platform. He describes the story:
When Arisu Yamabuki was alone in bed at night, he was able to find solace in the voice of the radio announcer he called “Apollo.” However, one day, it simply stopped streaming without any explanation. Years have passed, and Arisu is now a second-year high school student. He makes it his mission to search for Apollo, as there is something he wants to tell her. He doesn’t know what she looks like, or even what her real name is, but he managed to get some leads on her at his school’s broadcast club. There he meets four girls who all dream of getting a job where they can make full use of their voices! Just who is Apollo, and how will these four’s dreams come true?
